the purpose of a system
09/08/2025
theres a quote i learned about thats been on my mind a lot
The purpose of a system is what it does.
it was originally coined for systems thinking but i find myself thinking about it a lot even outside of the context of that
the mcdonalds ice cream machine is always broken? The purpose of a system is what it does.
thats not a mcdonalds ice cream machine, thats a mcdonalds broken machine. stafford was lowkey cooking when he said that shit
also found out the ss14 playtest dropped on steam idk when it did. i used to play a ton of ss13 back in like 2020 or something and im kinda getting back into it i forgot how fun that game was
my first shift i was a medical intern and mid lesson a zombie plague broke out on board, great for a beginner. sadly for the zombies we were just too good, chem was pumping out cures like there was a real zombie apocalypse and the doctors were cycling the patients out super quick. but just when the zombies lost all hope a fucking random event space rod blew through the medbay and killed 90% of the doctors and rendered the hospital the worlds shittiest shuttle docking bay and all hell broke loose and the zombies wouldve started killing everyone if a GIANT TESLA BALL didnt spawn and just decide to melt the entire crew and station into hot plasma anyways
i missed my space chaos game ts so robust
